I got a couple of these.. They work quite well, they’re fairly accurate and seem to maintain pretty tight tolerances on actual temps (even during the winter)..I’d buy again.

Works well. It heats up fairly quickly, and keeps a consistent temperature.Sometimes the temperature jumps around a bit, but that’s to be expected and it’s not at a level that will cause the average water temperature to be wrong. I have been running it for months now and see no signs of wear or heat marks on anything.During water changes the no-water-shutoff works good. I just wish it was a little bit better looking, and over time the suction cups can come off the glass.I keep the “remote” behind my dresser because it is pretty bright, can be distracting at night.

Accurate and unobtrusive
So far, so good! I’ve had this about a month now and it is just right for my 2 gal betta tank. Because the tank is so small, space is really at a premium so I like that this doesn’t take up a lot of room or take away from the aesthetics of the tank. The temperature is very accurate as measured by both my analog thermometer as well as a digital probe. It is also small enough in diameter to put right into a water jug to pre-heat new water before adding it to the tank.

Totally TRASH. NOT EVEN WORKING FOR A WEEK
TRASH. DO NOT BUY THIS. I used for 3 or 4 days and it caused my circuit breaker tripped for a whole night. Woke up in the morning everything was stopped because of the tripped causing by this heater, 6 of my koi died. And I could never turned on the heater again. Broke not even in one week. This is the worst thing I’ve ever buy. My tank is 40-50 gallon and the heater I bought was 300W.

Working well
It warmed up the water just fine. It’s in a 10g tank. It raised the water temperature 2.8 degrees every hour for me. The water has not dropped below the temperature I had set. As far as accuracy it seems to be within one or 2 degrees of all my other readings. I don’t have super accurate temp gauges. I know with out it my water was 66.6 degrees and it is holding at 71.2. Right where I want it.Update 12/19/2025I forgot to shut the heater off during a water change — twice — and it didn’t crack, shatter, or fail. Older heaters would’ve exploded. This one clearly has a thermal safety cutoff. Not an expensive unit, but it impressed me enough that I came back to leave this review.

I use this in my 20g long
I use this in my 20 gallon long and I think it works pretty well. It stays pretty consistently at the temperature I set it at and I put a thermometer on the other end of the tank which usually reads similar to what the heater says it’s set at. It’s very easy to set the temp ad well it also seems very durable. I haven’t had any issues with it.Okay update as of october 11th: it broke. It keeps reading 31, worked for a second but spiked to 80 and then turned back to 31. I’m not sure what caused it to break. But now im scrambling to get a heater. I’m tempted to order another to give it another chance because it worked well since may. I got it in April or may.
