Excellent and reliable
I have numerous aquariums and have gone through many different heaters. This is by far the best- it has safety in mind- heats a ton of fast moving water and has never failed. I returned this one only because I had purchased others or this very brand and found that I did not need another bcs the 2 I had were more than sufficient .

Doesn’t keep the water warm. It fluctuates
Get something else. Those single heaters work better and keep the aquarium warm. This hygger isn’t keeping the waters as they supposed to be

I now own 3 different hygger heaters this one in particular works great however i would like it to have the point of a degree like my other one and up and down arrows for setting temp. No complaints pass that

Works well
I noticed one of my fish was always keeping it’s head on the heater. I bought this and it hasn’t done it since and all of the fish are more active.I like how I can monitor and adjust the temperature.

Heats up quickly and keeps temperature steady
Just bought this heater for my turtle tank and I can say it heats up quickly and has kept the water temperature steady. I’ve gone through so many heaters that don’t work after a year or so, so hope this lasts much longer!

My other heater was not heating up the tank, picked up this heater works wonderful and also tells me the temperature inside the tank. Fit perfect design is awesome and the size is perfect for the tank

This heater is a death trap–and Hygger does not care.
This heater is a death trap. Do not purchase! The open grooves that allow access to the inside of the plastic housing attracts thin bodied fishes like gobies and when the heat kicks in they get ROASTED. Shrimp and small crabs are highly susceptible to hiding inside and getting slow roasted as well. Likewise snails. Hygger cut corners on the safety of your animals and used only two suction cups to attach the unit to the slippery tank wall. Within 3 months the suction cups tire and begin coming lose constantly. This leaves a gap between the tank wall and the unit where fish, seeking structure in which to hide will go and get trapped. This unit resulted in the deaths of several Pederson’s cleaning shrimp, skunk shrimps, and finally, my beautiful coral beauty. When I contacted Hygger, they said “We’re determined this won’t happen to you again, and so we are sending you new suction cups. They should be there in a few weeks.”SO determined they chose to send the suction cups by camel caravan apparently. Look at what this heater did to my poor Coral Beauty Magnus. Hygger does not stand accountable for the deaths and losses caused by its choice to use only two cheap suction cups to secure this unit to the tank wall. They say they care, but they do not care enough to reimburse for the loss–nor for the $80 more it cost to safely anchor the unit to the wall. Like all corporations they treat us and our pets as expendable. DO NOT SUPPORT HYGGER. THEY HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS FOREVER.
