Still keeps water warm after a year
I’ve had this product for about a year and it still works perfect for my red eared slider turtle. She loves the warmth it provides

Good buy. Consistent!
Works great! Holds temp fairly consistently.Too tall for a 20gallon long tank, but that’s my fault for not checking. We made it work at a slant with no trouble!

Great buy
Worked great until it didnt. I dont think it was the heaters fault… it was paired with an jackhole of a adolescent alligator snapping turtle and his feeder fish and aquatic vegetation until he was able to be released back into the wild. That said, the suction cups could work better. The size was as advertised. It was easy to clean. I liked that it had an indicator light to show when it was powered on which made it feel a little safer when trying to rehabilitate an angry little snapper. It also was pretty sturdy seeing as how it held up to the abuse of a snapper lol.

Great Quality!
I love an Orlushy heater! I have them in almost all of my tanks and have for a few years. I have never had a problem with one. I do find they are off by a degree or two, so make sure you set it just a smidge lower.

Bought two, both broke, one boiled my tank killing fish
In short I bought two, placed in a 20 and a 75 gallon tanks. Two months they worked, albeit the temp setting never matched the actual tempature in the tanks, at about 2 months the heater in the 75 gallon boiled, the heater in the 20 gallon stopped doing any heating, but the light saying it was on still worked.Killed fish. Very upset. Can not recommend.Full story belowSo, on a positive note the suction cups work. That’s all I can say that’s good.Perhaps I got 2 from a bad batch but one was working fine for 2 months in my 75 gallon tank. I go for a medical procedure, come home and am in bed for 2 days. I get up day two to discover that my 75 gallon is half empty of water… I run over thinking leak… Immediately notice that the water is steaming and I have 2 dead plecos, 4 very distressed Angels and many dead mystery snails. I unplug the heater right away, go to remove it and the water was HOT, looking I see it was 99+ degrees. I had it set for 76 and the tank thermometer usually read 79. I accept heaters don’t seem to run at what I set, so I learn and adjust accordingly. The heater was immediately dry moments after being in the air. Concerned I put it back into the water to slowly cool so I didn’t have this thing explode and after cooled I tossed it in the trash. I have 20 tanks, I bought these two to try out before I replaced my other heaters, they were over 2 years old and I wanted to make sure the heaters were replaced every so often. I breed rare and endangered fish so I try to keep things safe as I can. This was in my mixed tank that I have for plant breeding and just random enjoyment, fish I like but don’t want to breed. My “culls” of fish from other tanks, and fun fish were here. All dead except the stressed Angels. I was horrified, this was awful, to spike a 75 gallon that quick is insane. I checked my other tank, a 20 gallon, and it was cold. It was set for 76 and thermometer read 68. I have two types of thermometers on each tank to be sure of tank temp. Luckily this tank can handle that temp but I still want it to work and be at the stable set temp. It used to work, same two months as the other. Now this one could have been broken for up to two weeks before since that was last water change temp check. I’m super happy it wasn’t boiling but just to make sure it was actually broken I put it into a tank that’s cycling right now, no fish, left it there turned up to 85, cold a day later. I then maxed it in the 90’s and it didn’t change the water temp at all.I was going to subscribe and save to these because they feel solid, mount easily, difficult to turn the temp dial but I figured if they work I won’t need to adjust that anyway. They worked for 2 months so I figured they would be fine. I’m glad this happened before I subscribed, which I was going to do so this could arrive for my April 9th delivery date. I’m furious this happened, I’ve never had this occur with any other heaters in any other tanks.

It does exactly what is says. 150 Watts
I needed a 150 Watt heater for a project and this one was the perfect size and shape. I measured its output and it was within 2% of the spec. Perfect. The thermometer that comes with it is useless. Toss it.

I use this water heater in a 15 gallon aquarium. It takes some time to calibrate it properly the first time I use it. Once done, it is reliable and keeps the water at more or less half a degree away from the desired temperature. This heater is very sturdy and I like the fact that it is fully submersible. Some water heaters cannot be completely submerged and this is annoying when you have a cover on the tank. Another advantage, is that for the same price, you get a digital thermometer as a bonus with the water heater. I had a traditional thermometer strip, the one that sticks to the glass. Honestly, I much prefer the digital one! You can place it wherever you want using two suction cups. The sensor being directly in the water gives me the impression of getting a more accurate reading of the temperature in my tank. The only downside is that the suction cups (2 for the water heater and 2 for the digital thermometer) take forever to hold in place. But here again, once well positioned, they don’t move anymore.—————– Français —————–J’utilise ce chauffe-eau dans un aquarium de 15 gallons.

Pros:Temperature Control: Most heaters offer adjustable settings, allowing you to maintain a consistent environment suitable for various fish species.Safety Features: Many models include automatic shut-off mechanisms to prevent overheating, ensuring the safety of your aquatic life.Durability: Heaters constructed with materials like quartz glass or titanium are generally more robust and long-lasting.Cons:Size Considerations: Some heaters can be bulky, making them less suitable for smaller tanks or for those who prefer a minimalist setup.Accuracy: Lower-end models might have less precise temperature controls, leading to fluctuations that could stress your fish.Installation: Ensuring the heater is fully submerged and properly placed can be a bit tricky, especially in tanks with complex layouts.Final Thoughts:A reliable fish tank heater is essential for maintaining a stable aquatic environment. While there are many options available, focusing on heaters with adjustable temperature settings, safety features, and durable construction will serve most aquarists well. Always monitor your tank’s temperature with a separate thermometer to ensure accuracy.

I’ve only had this product for 2 weeks and so far so good. I received the heater in a decent time frame with no damage. Keeps the temperature of my tank pretty close to the correct temperature. This does depend on the temperature of my home as well. I have 2 thermometers to check accuracy and it seems to to be doing well. Heard good and negative reviews, as with any product, decided to purchase. I really like the size and the colour as it blends nicely with my decor in my tank. I feel the price for this heater is within range of most heaters available and not over priced. So far I am happy and feel this is a good product.

So far this heater works great. I bought the 150W even though I only have 10 gallons of water (it’s a half filled 20 gallon with a waterfall). I figured since I may want to fill it up some day or eventually upgrade to a bigger tank I’d go for a higher wattage. The heater is big and bulky but feels sturdy and well-built, I’m not worried about it breaking unless I do something stupid. It did take some fiddling with the dial to get the temperature right. The dial isn’t exact (which is fairly normal for aquarium heaters). I tested the free thermometer that comes with it in ice water and the thermometer is 2*F off (reading 34F instead of 32F), so don’t trust that the thermometer is giving an exact temperature. I wrote -2*F on a label on the thermometer just to remind me. The thermometer’s not too important for me so I figure I’ll keep it at 5 stars. I’m considering buying a second one for another tank.

So, i bought 2, the other heater works great, but the other one is just not good, im using them on a 10 gallon, the one is not getting over 83F even i put it all the way to the maximum. I wann heat my grow outs to 86F but it cant do the job,
