Is the moss safe for pets?

Worth your money
Got all of this product just from that little cube. Make sure to dry it well after following the instructions for expansion to avoid mold.Great product! Would buy again. Smells just like a forest after rain, and is very potent. If you don’t like outdoorsy smells I wouldn’t buy this, but I think it looks so cute in my Timothy’s home.

The package on top is what you’ll receive, the beautiful moss is what will come out when soaked in water. Very good value for my money, you will definitely need less than you think for small projects. It arrived on time and the moss is very soft. I will be buying this product again!

Not for hamsters
I did not like this product at all for what I bought it for. I bought for my hamster cage and the moss came in one tight block that broke into tiny pieces when I tried to separate. The instructions say to let it sit in water and expand and then dry it out if needed. This would take days/weeks to dry out enough for me to feel comfortable putting in my hamster cage as they do not tolerate moisture. Also smells horrid. You get a lot of product for the price however I would not recommend for hamsters personally.

When it arrived I was a little surprised about how small of a compressed cube it was but I did as it instructed and it expanded so much! It smells looks and feels straight from the earth which will be great for my hamster. Amazing price and good quality moss!!

I bought this for my hamster enclosure. It expands SO much and doesn’t stink like some other moss brands. I was concerned about the size but once I opened it and started tearing it apart I could see that it expands to over triple the amount of the block that arrived. Water is not needed to expand.

So nice and natural in the hammy cage setup. I haven’t ask him but I do think he appreciates my attempts to make his environment more natural looking. Oh wait! He just said thank you. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I didn’t realize I was supposed to wet it first. No instructions.
