Works Great
I have used these PetSafe Collars for years now. We have used them on various dogs as they have need them. It is easy to set up and teach the dog where their perimeter is. I like that we can set it up for a smaller perimeter in the winter and then give them more room in the summer. The ‘shock’ strength is also nice to be able to adjust. Little dogs need less reminder than the big dogs. This system also works with multiple collars at once and the whole system itself is easy to set up and get started keeping your dog safe.

Good replacement collar — easy to set up and works well
This PetSafe Stay & Play replacement collar worked perfectly with my existing wireless fence system. Setup was quick and straightforward — synced right away with no issues. The collar is lightweight, waterproof, and holds a charge well. Overall, a great replacement that was easy to hook up and does exactly what it should.

Works great, seems durable.
It works great for my dogs. Easy to use. The battery lasts a long time. We’ve had one for over a year and it still works great.

UPGRADE from 3yo PetSafe Collar
We purchased the PetSafe “Free to Roam” wireless fence kit in October 2019. No issues so far with the radar dome, but the collar plastic cover broke in 2021. I was able to superglue it back together but it stopped working, even with a new battery in February 2022.We ordered a replacement and this one arrived in March 2022. The plastic cover seems to be the same so I’m going to knock it down a couple stars anticipating that we’re going to watch it break again in another couple of years. I’ll update my review if that happens. The upgrade I observed is that this one has a rechargeable battery. The original one we had required replacement batteries at about $8 per pair on Amazon at the time of this post. I only had to buy one set of replacement batteries in the 2.5 years we used the first one. So far, we’re still on the original charge after 2 months of use so it seems to hold up well. Hopefully we will be able to get several recharge cycles before it doesn’t charge. I see some reviews that we can expect 4 years.Overall, at $160 at the time of this post, it seems a tad pricey, but given the features and peace of mind it makes sense. We can let our dog, Archie, out and he stays within the bubble, never going outside of it except for that first time in 2019 when we set it up. He is always excited when we put it on. As you can see from the picture, the only thing more exciting is when he knows it’s time for dinner and wants to come in!

Good purchase for training
They work great and keep the dogs on the property. Once they figured out where the line was they didnt even try to cross it. They need to be charged over night every 3ish days if they are on consistantly worn

Great product
We (or I) brought home two new schnauzer puppies much to the dismay of my wife. We purchased the Pet Safe Wireless Fence to keep the pups in the surrounding yard. Never having had to use a product like this with our older dogs who just stayed close, these new pups liked to run. The wireless fence works great and the dogs have learned where the boundaries are. It’s nice to be able to open the door and let them out knowing they will be safe and close by. They are 2 years old now and more settled, but I like still having the collars on them.

After a year of use begins to malfunction.
I’m writing this review because its the easiest way to get support by letting everyone know there is a problem with the product. I tried traditional avenues but it seems there is a wall for support on these products. Maybe Amazons more public forum of reviewing will stimulate a response.I have had about six of these collars now and 2 base stations. A common problem is these collars start to beep and shock erratically, randomly, and not in a function described by the manuals. This makes me and my dogs lose hard earned confidence in these very expensive collars. I have replaced them because it seemed easier than dealing with support. Chalking it up to a broken collar. The problem I’m currently having is the collar is giving one single beep combined with shock randomly. My dog gets scared and starts looking for the boundary and doesn’t know which way to go to satisfy this thing. Last night my wife took the collar off and was holding it (well within the boundary zone) when it single-shock/beeped her. She was understandably startled and yelled out “ouch”. It was set to level 4 though I don’t know if that was the shock level she received. (I have a 90lb dog). Now when this collar is functioning correctly it begins to beep 2 or 3 times before it begins the shock correction cycle. This is a warning that the collar is crossing the boundary and needs to return before shocking commences. Most of the times it works properly. And my dog turns around and returns to her area without being shocked. She is smart and has well learned her boundaries. What is happening now is not that its losing signal or crossing the boundary, its a short (not complete) beep combined with a short rapid shock. Its a malfunction. A technology fart. Petsafe not so safe. And before you ask if I went through the resetting procedures or if its fully charged or if its near a refrigerator, I’ll answer yes, yes ,and no. I can’t take the battery out of it because its a rechargeable unit, only hold the button until it resets. Also note that’s not in the manuals. Now consider what I have described is not any function of the collar described in the manuals. Single random short beep/shock. Its a malfunction. To Petsafe to respond….

We got a second collar for our current system. We already had the pet safe system for our first dog. We recently got a puppy, and bought a second collar for her. It just had to charged and connected automatically to our base system. Great product

Replaced our old collar that stopped charging, this one matched perfectly and haven’t had any issues

I have used this system for approximately 10 years and I can’t say enough good stuff about it. However, the new collars that are rechargeable and do not use batteries do not last as long as the battery collars. I have just had to replace my rechargeable collar that I purchased February 2022 because it stopped working. For the price of the collar I think that it should last longer than 18 months.
