Quality doog food with healthy ingredients.
Our 100 lb Newfoundland lab loved the senior lg breed with glucosamine and condroiton for his joints. Our little guy, also a senior chichuaha-corgi enjoys the small breed senior chicken flavor. Our small dog eats a mixture of kibble and soft food. We have not had any allergic reactions. It is a quality dog food for the price.

I switched my older small-breed female dog to Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Small Breed Senior (Chicken & Brown Rice) because I wanted something that supported joint health and immunity without upsetting her stomach. We’ve been using it for a bit now, and I’m really happy with the results.First, she loves the taste—no more sniffing the bowl and walking away. The small kibble size is perfect for her little mouth, and it’s easy for her to chew. I also noticed her digestion seems more settled (less gassy, more consistent), which is always a win with seniors.The biggest change has been in her energy and mobility. She’s not suddenly a puppy again, but she’s definitely got more pep on walks and seems less stiff when getting up from naps. I also appreciate that it’s made with natural ingredients, and the chicken & rice recipe feels like a solid, dependable option for a senior pup.The bag is a great size too—15 lbs lasts a while for a small dog, and it stays fresh if you store it in a sealed container.If you have a senior small-breed dog, especially one you’re trying to support with joints and overall health, I’d absolutely recommend giving this a try. It’s been a great fit for my sweet girl.

Great for small older dogs
This is my favorite food for my aging chihuahua mixed dogs. Meat is the first ingredient and the rest of the ingredients are tailored for older dogs and have a mix of meats and vegetables. What I like best is that it is made specifically for small dogs and the kibble is small. Too many brands have only one size and little dogs get forgotten about. This food is great on my dogs stomachs and gives them no digestive problems. It is kind of pricey for just 15 pounds but worth the money.

Our senior chiweenie loves this kibble. She has no GI upset at all with this food like she had as a puppy with another brand. I love that it’s for senior, small breeds. The kibble is very small which works great for her. Before this variety she was on Blue Buffalo small breed, healthy weight and she did great on it as well. We switched over to the senior variety to help support her joints, etc. She is fourteen years old and in perfect health. She has been on Blue Buffalo food for most of her life now and it has been great for us.

Good Quality Dog Food
We have a senior dog and for some reason all other kind of foods would upset her stomach. We tried giving her wet food since most of her teeth have fallen out. Yet this is hard food we realized that it is the only food that has helped her used the restroom the way a dog is supposed to go. One day I accidentally poor water in her food and realized that it softened it, so if you have a senior dog like me this might also be an alternative and with a little bit of water it will help them chew it better.
