Love this with my Great Dane
The Mayerzon Martingale No Pull Dog Collar is fantastic for training and daily walks. It’s sturdy, adjustable, and gives great control without being harsh on my Great Dane dog. The reflective design is a nice bonus for evening walks, and it feels very durable and well made. It fits perfectly and has really helped reduce pulling—highly recommend!

Works GREAT for my French bulldog
I have a 13 month French bull dog. She has a LOT of energy and is uber stubborn. I walk her twice a day, but she’s been pulling hard. She practically pulls my arm off if she sees a squirrel. My biggest concern was her lunging at cars. That’s dangerous. She has not responded to training, and has refused to correct. I bought this in an act of desperation.Medium fits her perfectly. I put it higher on her neck and it’s not super tight. She doesn’t choke when she tugs. She quietly and gently pulls back toward me (when she’s walked with a normal collar, she will pull into she’s choking). After the first walk, she stopped the habit of pulling altogether. If she’s walking too far ahead of me, I gently tug it and she instantly slows down. This gently corrects her without any obvious discomfort. She now walks with the leash relatively taught, but not tugging at me (I have more work to do with her).I’ve only used it twice, but it’s been extremely easy to fit, put on her and use.

    A TOOL for training
This made a HUGE difference. I was almost in tears at the difference. The goal is to use it till he learns not to lunge, and then to retire the collar.Sooo I never thought I’d use a prong collar (I’m a complete softie.) But my 65lb bully mix is waaaaay stronger than he looks, and he loves to chase motorcycles, bikes, even wheelchairs (anything on wheels, really.) One time he pivoted and bolted so hard that I spun around and fell into a cactus…lots of bruises and needles. I decided this is a matter of safety. I would never be able to forgive myself if my dog got hurt or someone on a motorcycle got into a wreck because my dog lunged at their bike. And it’s completely unacceptable for him to freak out on people in wheelchairs. He’s not actually aggressive, but he comes off as such, and I just cannot allow him to behave that way. I was at the end of my rope, and I actually have cried on many a walk with him. I didn’t want to try a gentle leader, because I’ve heard they can cause neck injuries, and I’m almost certain this would be the case with my dog. I have tried a no pull harness with front and back leash connections, and while it gave me more control when he would lunge, it did not stop the behavior at all, so while I felt better about him not choking himself out, it did nothing to deter him from doing it.I considered sending him to a dog school (but my neighbor told me that he didn’t get the results he thought he would, even after sending his puppy to school for weeks.) First I wanted to see if this last ditch effort would work before I spent thousands of dollars. It has, from what I can tell. The first night, within about 5 minutes, THREE motorcycles drove past us. The first time he did what he always does and lunged so hard that he was on his hind legs and barking, but he stopped pretty quickly. The second time he lunged, but with way less effort. The third time he had a reaction, but didn’t really lunge at all, just pulled a tiny bit. I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it. So I took him out again tonight, and he still pulled a little, but then would stop quickly, so he’s still learning how to behave on the prong collar. Now (it seems) I don’t have to worry about him lunging at bikes, other dogs, or other people; I feel like a weight has been lifted. Now obviously it will take a little time for all this to become a pattern that will lead to him not needing the collar anymore, but it’s really the lesser of two evils in this case. It takes a little work to get the collar in the right spot (snuggly below his ears and higher up on the neck, but not tight, so we’re working on that.) The collar seems to be high quality and comes with extra rubber prong covers.Sorry for the novel, but I feel like this collar might help some dog owners. I’d say it’s like gastric bypass surgery: it’s a TOOL you use to achieve desired results. You don’t have to use this thing forever. Just make sure you use this collar CORRECTLY. I even did what many others do and tried it on myself. It doesn’t feel good, but it’s not excruciating, only uncomfortable when you tug on it. Fingers crossed I can retire this collar soon, but I am so happy to have it for the time being. Game changer.

    Needs longer prongs
This is a nice collar but does not work as well as the standard prong collars. The prongs on this collar do not seem to be long enough to penetrate my German Shepherd’s fur so she pulls more during walks.

    Works wonders
Now I’ve tried prong collars before and they have worked but my dog has gotten used to it and continued to pull so I was a bit skeptical. I’ve always housed the full metal ones that you can’t hide either. I’ve used it for about 2 weeks and it works wonders. It does slide down a bit because of my dogs slick fur but it’s great and keeps the other dog owners who put their two sense in to say prong collars are abusive away. Great value for your money. I like that it locks too.

Better than the herm spranger collars!
I was nervous to get this collar for my 65lb husky mix after her herm sprenger one broke but I couldn’t be happier with it. This one is wayyyyy cuter/simpler looking than the chain one, seems more effective to control pulling tendencies, and is easier to put on/off than the traditional ones. Very good quality, durable for a strong puller.

    It Works and is Humane!!!
I was very apprehensive about buying a choke collar because I didn’t want to hurt my sweet dog. However, he is a Jack Russell, and was very hard to control. He was a rescue dog who was dumped and wasn’t used to being restrained. Finally, after a lot of debate, I broke down and decided to research them. I found this one because it didn’t cut off his air supply or hurt his throat. I was Super impressed!!! Not only did he respond like a trained dog on our walks, but the fact that the collar is disguised made me comfortable using it. We have a lot of dog walkers in our community and I didn’t want to be considered a bad pet parent. I can’t oversell this collar which is adjustable, too. That was a real selling point because I had to buy 3 that weren’t before I found this one. It’s super easy to use and I really can’t oversell it. It Works and is Humane!!

    Super nice
Super sturdy. Well made. Nice the buckle locks and easy to put on and buckle. Nice reflection strip on collar. Recommend for large dogs. Quick pull and the dog does respond without any pain due to the rubber over the prongs.

These collars work wonderfully for our big dogs (German shepherd/Great Pyrenees mixes). They’re pretty good on leashes, but are young and were uncontrollable if they saw a squirrel, another dog, a deer, etc. They pulled me and wife to the ground – and dragged us – several times. She cracked her sternum in the last fall. Painful and slow to heal. With the anti-pull collars, the dogs are controllable on leash walks. Sure, they still pull hard when they see something interesting, but stop when they come to the end of the extendable leashes and the collars become uncomfortable. Also, the anti-pull collars make the dogs more responsive to short tugs on the leashes for training purposes on walks.Great product. No gimmick. Highly recommended for stubborn dogs. Walks with our mutts are now pleasant and without risk of serious personal injury! Much more humane than choke collars.

Works great, I like the extra handle because you can easily grab your dog, I’d suggest size down because size L is kinda big for my German shepherd.

Works good for a 170 lb Great Dane that I rescued and was a fairly big puller initially. Easy to get on and off and I like that it combines the prong type collar but also is adjustable.I find that it does loosen eventually but as he is no longer such a savage on walks it’s more extra insurance for me walking a dog that weighs more than me.The coverage and reflection is also great. Great for walks at night but also doesn’t look as intimidating.

I did my homework on the concept of what this style of collar does and now understand how it works. The prongs mimic the mothers jaw/teeth and in dog language this corrects negative behaviour. I love that the prongs have a rubber cap on them and the metal isn’t directly in contact with my dog. Since using this collar, my dog no longer pulls and I can control him much better when he see’s another animal he wants to chase/attack.I would highly recommend this collar as a tool to help make your walks much more enjoyable.
