AQUAPAPA Sponge filter for tank 30 – 60 gallon How it functions:

Sponge filter is an efficient and excellent method of filtration for your fish tank. This sponge filter works with an external air pump or an integral water pump.

The air pump pushes air into the hollow cavity inside the sponge filter thru the tubing, and bubbles rise from the toplift tube thus drawing water thru the sponge walls. It provides mechanical and bio filtration for your tank.

Easy maintenance:

Scoop some old tank water out of your tank into a bucket; wash the sponge in the water and squeeze out the buildup until it’s clean. Sponge needs to be cleaned every month. It’s recommended to change out 25-30% of the water weekly.

Air powered

The air infusion chamber produces numerous minute bubbles which promotes gas exchange process and increases dissolved oxygen level in water.

Great for tank 30 to 60 gallon

Each sponge filter is good to use for tank up to 60 gallon. It measures 4.6 inches in diameter and 8 inches in height. It comes with a weighted base which will keep the sponge filter down to the bottom.

Easy to clean

All parts can be detached for cleaning or replacement.

Clean with tank water

When taking the sponge filter apart, wash and clean the foam with tank water instead of tap water.
