Prone to algae
The fish and shrimp love hiding in it. Only downside is algae particularly likes growing on the rough textured rock. It was covered after just a few days. Luckily I have several shrimp and snails who eat the algae but if you don’t have shrimp and snails, be cautious. Snails particularly love eating the algae on it. I love seeing the trails the snails leave behind after grazing. They keep the growth on it manageable and actually quite natural looking. Algae doesn’t grow inside since it’s smoother and dark.

Aquarium Fish Cave…
I purchased this for my 1.5 gallon betta tank and this small rock cave fit it with a little room to spare. I was so afraid that it would be too big. It’s a new tank so he’s cautiously exploring it a little more every day. He likes it and I expect he’ll be in and out of it all the time very soon. Great product; great price. It’s quite heavy and sturdy. (Charmer’s checking it out as I write this)! Highly recommend.
