Best quality, great price, no waste, the birds and squirrels love these
Excellent quality, very clean seeds, and they are a favorite of our birds and squirrels. After years of feeding cheaper mixed seeds that end up wasted and growing weeds below the feeders, we got selective about what we offer. The Audubon Park sunflower seeds are not chopped up, they are whole, shelled sunflower seeds. Very clean, they smell great, and there is no waste. We also feed shelled peanuts, and have found that the Amazon Grocery 44 ounce bags are quite reasonable in price, especially if you watch for specials or coupons, or have them shipped on auto-ship. We have also used the Lyric shelled peanut pieces, in 15 pound bags. They are similarly clean, without debris, smell good and the birds finish them off quickly. (The Lyric peanuts are raw, NOT roasted, so beware if you want to snack on them, too.) Between the shelled sunflower seed and shelled peanuts, the cost is on par with a good mixed seed, but the birds really clean it all up without waste, dropped seed, or messy shells strewn about. Audubon Park Sunflower Hearts is the one that we get on auto-ship, and will continue to gladly offer our wildlife. A+++

A great value at the price..saves money!
If you feed a lot of birds in the winter, then this is one of the greatest values in Amazon (and they have tons of great values!). Amazon is a go to source of quite a variety of different bird foods, feeders, water features and other accessories for our fine feathered friends. But I digress, the reason I bought this 15lb bag of sunflower hearts is that I feed large flocks of birds and it carries me for months. Doves, Cardinals, Sparrows and several visitors all winter long. Happy birding!

Great Sunflower Hearts at a great price.
Pretty much all my visitors love it. It’s good quality, and seems fresh. Deer (mixed with Cracked Corn), along with Ground Squirrels, Tree Squirrels, Jays, Pigeons, Doves, and all sorts of smaller birds gobble it right up.Comes in strong bags and always clean (no chaff). Great price to quality ratio.

Less mess? Not so sure about that!
The birds love the hulled sunflower seeds! They still make a mess though! For whatever reason the birds tend to eat the hearts and leave excess outer layer on the ground and I need to keep up with cleaning my patio. I ordered acrylic clear bird feeders that are attached to the patio glass so I can enjoy watching them feed! It’s relaxing!

I use these in a feeder in my front yard and one in the back. The packaging is great, not too heavy to carry back and forth and lift to fill the feeders. The birds are enjoying it and there are no messy shells on the lawn!
