He thoroughly enjoyed this toy and I didnt even put anythting inside of it.
This toy is marketed as an interactive foraging toy that mentally stimulates your bird by hiding treats and encouraging natural foraging behavior. It’s typically made from wood/wood-like materials, has holes or compartments for hiding food, and is designed to be attached inside the cage. Many birds destroy these kinds of wooden / chewable toys very quickly — shredding them into pieces within a few days because chewing and tearing are natural behaviors, especially for parrots, conures, cockatiels, and similar species. Destruction itself isn’t necessarily a defect — it often means the bird is engaged and enjoying the toy. However, it also means the toy doesn’t last long for strong-beaked birds. If your bird “destroyed it in a matter of days,” that’s actually quite typical for shreddable wooden foraging toys — especially with birds that love to chew, which my bird does. He thoroughly enjoyed this toy and I didnt even put anythting inside of it.

10 out of 10 Stars, this is an awesome toy for smaller to medium parrots!
I’m impressed with this toy so far. I took a number of pictures both with and without the flash so you can get an idea of the depths of the holes and all. I haven’t yet given it to my birds because I just received it this evening and they’re sleeping, but I can tell they’re going to love it. Each of the holes is a deep sort of well that you can fill with goodies, and then they can move the attached cover that fits right into the hole and discover the goodies within. What I like about this is that even if they destroy the jute/rope or wood covers, you can always replace them with your own.The main body of this feeder looks to be a solid wood block. And then you attach it to the side of the cage with a threaded dowel, a wood washer and a wood nut. This is the first toy I’ve ever had that all of those parts are wood so I’m curious about how well it will hold up. The dowel is probably about 1.2 CM wide, so that’s something to consider when placing it into your cage. If your cage bars somehow have less space than that then it will not fit. If your bird climbs around a lot on the outside of their cage and they are a larger bird with a big strong beak they might be able to destroy the dowel and the nut and washer. But for smaller parrots like budgies, love birds, green cheek conures, I think this will hold up rather well. I have two Quakers and a green cheek conure and I think this will be perfect for all of them. I should mention that the washer seems to be thick and strong. There are a number of toys I’ve gotten in the past with thin metal washers that bend when you tighten them on to the bars, and I don’t think that will be an issue with this toy. I think the washer is strong and solid enough that it will hold up to that. It’s definitely layers of wood pressed together so I think that creates a stronger resistance to breaking. Everything seems to be super great quality.I’ll update in the future if I make any other observations, either positive or negative, but as of this moment I’m extremely satisfied with my order and would recommend this to others. It seems to be made of extremely bird friendly materials. And I love that. I’m often worried about the materials that toys I order are made of especially when there’s metal involved, but this negates that worry completely. 10 out of 10, this is awesome! The value for money is definitely outstanding on this considering the fact that the main body of the toy is a solid wood block. I haven’t been this impressed with a bird toy in a long time.

Quality good but smell of paint concerned me.
I returned this item due to the smell. I was worried the paint/dye used may not be healthy for my bird. Birds are so sensitive to smells and they can be toxic to them. I didn’t want to chance it. I didn’t want my baby to be the “canary in a coal mine.”

Too large for smaller birds – cockatiels and smaller
The item is well made – however pics show smaller birds like my cockateil using this and there is just no way. If you have a cockatiel or smaller, I doubt they will be able to get the lids off. Even if they do, they will probably get their head stuck in the deep container…I know my bird wouldn’t be able to get his head that far down into the container to get whatever treat is there. Such a bummer. I like the colors and it seems well made. I’m sending it off to my brother with an African Grey to see if he gets any fun from it!

Great Enrichment Concept, Best for Supervised Play
The concept behind this puzzle feeder is excellent. It provides mental stimulation, encourages natural foraging behavior, and does a great job keeping parrots engaged and curious. My birds were immediately interested, which says a lot when it comes to enrichment toys. That said, the wood used is on the softer side. While that makes it easy for birds to manipulate during play, it also means determined chewers can wear it down fairly quickly. Because of that, I’d recommend using this as a supervised enrichment activity rather than leaving it out full-time in the cage. When used during interactive play sessions, it works really well and holds up just fine. It’s a great option for rotating enrichment, training time, or one-on-one engagement where you can monitor chewing and remove it when playtime is over.Overall, it’s a thoughtfully designed foraging toy that does exactly what it’s meant to do—just best enjoyed with supervision to extend its lifespan and keep birds safe.

Easy bird puzzle to hide treats. It’s bringing my bird a lot of enrichment time!
My bird has been enjoying this puzzle. It’s been bringing him a lot of enrichment to look for his food and uncover it in the different colored wood compartments. The string keeps the lid from falling to the bottom of the cage and the wooden screw with wooden washer is a very nice touch and fit on my bird’s cage easily. It’s a very nice quality wooden puzzle toy and gives him a variety of different shapes and colors to play with. It’s easy to clean with water and I set it out in the sun to dry. It holds a lot of little treats or nuts and my bird loves it. I definitely recommend this for birds that are more adventurous and want to play with toys!
