Modern cat tower for a good price
The FourFurPets 74″ wooden cat tree comes in multiple parts that require assembly. The wood has a nice dark brown finish, and the metal is a matte black. The cushions and pom-poms are a furry brown fabric.There are a lot of parts, but it was easier to assemble than others. It took 1.5 hours to put it together including taking it out of the pox and setting the parts out. The instructions are clear, but I recommend marking off the completed illustrations as you go because there are a lot of them, and it’s easy to lose your place. Everything fit together well. The only part that was tricky was the first scratching post that is bolted to the bottom cube. You have to reach inside the cube to tighten the bolt while holding the post still on top. I added felt pads to the bottom of the unit before I started putting it together, because I wanted to protect my hardwood floors. If you have carpet, that won’t be needed.I chose not to put the pom-poms on because my cats never play with them. Kittens are more likely to play with them. I will cut the strings off to make them into toys my older cats will play with.The cushions come with Velcro with an adhesive back that sticks to the shelves. Once in place, the cushions can be pulled off to wash. You could even put different cushions on if you wanted to match your decor.I really like the look of this unit with the u-shaped metal supports. It has a clean, modern appearance. It’s quite sturdy, and the shelves have an adequate overlap for climbing. That said, my younger and more agile cats ae better able to jump and climb on it. My older and heavier cats need to climb more than jump, and they found the cushions didn’t offer security, so they stayed on the first and second levels. I have it placed next to other towers and below a tall wall shelf, so they can access it that way as well.This is a good quality, modern, cat tower for the price.

Giant cat tree!
I’ve had a small 4ft cat tree for about 5 years now. It still has some life left in it but the fabric and scratch posts are really worn down. I’ve been wanting a big cat tree for a while now. My cat likes to be up high and to make his 4ft tree higher I placed it on top of a cage. When I saw this giant cat tree I couldn’t pass it up.Assembly while not fun was pretty easy to do over all. They had all the tools needed to put it together in the box. Power tools are not needed. The wood panels though need to be cleaned off before use. I think maybe it was extra wood stain. There was definitely a layer gunk on them. It came in almost perfect as well. Only a tiny bit of cosmetic damage in one corner. My cat happily layed on the cushions as I put it together. Those cushions are easily removed for cleaning too which is a bonus. Once together it was as tall as I had hoped. My cat and I were very impressed. He started playing on it right away. It has a very sleak and modern look. I like it much better than the fully carpeted cat tree that I had before that was impossible to clean easily.
