Before Putting the Driftwood Into the Water:

Adding a suitable amount of salt or baking soda to boiling hot water and simmering for about an hour can promote the rapid release of tannins.After soaking the driftwood in hot water, the water will turn yellow. If the wood is dark in color, it may require multiple changes of clean water and boiling several times.After it cools down, pour out the dirty water and replace it with clean water. Let it sit for a few days, during which the water needs to be changed frequently and the cleanliness observed to ensure that the water in the fish tank is clear after the wood is placed.

How to clear cloudy yellow water after putting driftwood?

Soak or boil natural driftwood repeatedly, change water frequently for days until the water no longer turns yellow to keep your aquarium freshwater clear after placement.
